help abt modem driver

hi,  after a lot of search got a winmodem driver that suits my modem on 
linux RH9 and when tried to install the rpm everything goes right but at the 
end i get following error :

ERROR : hsf driver not active
error: %post(hsfmodem-6.03.0nxt04032800full_k2.4.20_8-1rh)scriplet failed, 
exit status 1.

Whats the problem ? after such a  LONGGGGGGG search i got this driver and 
now its not installling!!

Or was driver installed ? how should i check if driver is installed properly 
or not ? how am i supposed know if its working or not?
