I'm not sure what you mean by "update NIS". If you're talking about
forcing an update of modified NIS maps to slave servers, you want to use
"yppush" ("man yppush" for details).
If you're referring to updating the RPMs, the RPMs are "ypbind",
"yp-tools" and "ypserv", so use whatever method you use to update normal
RPMs and specify those. For example, under FC1/FC2:
yum -y update ypbind* yp-tools* ypserv*
