My question in this area is that I'm a Linux/Evolution user for email butIf you would recognise the email as "suspicious", and you read it under linux, then I would think the easiest (and safest) thing is just to delete the email.
Would you be saving an attachment called "file.scr" or whatever (there are quite a lot of different filenames being used) then moving it onto a windows box?1) Since I may possibly be moving the attachment to a Windows box on my network later, I don't want to save an attachment with a virus.
