Re:Old Video Card Problem in RH9

I am now totally confused.

Following the instructions I run 		sh Xinstall.sh -check

and this tells me that I need glibc23

Xfree86 3.3 only has glib 2.0 and 2.1.

Attempting to run 2.1 I get

You appear to have an glibc (libc-6) based system.
Make sure you are installing the 'Linux-ix86-glibc' binary dist
/DOSonD/OldX/preinst.sh: line 78: [: : integer expression expected
/DOSonD/OldX/preinst.sh: line 81: [: : integer expression expected
/DOSonD/OldX/preinst.sh: line 84: [: : integer expression expected

Before continuing you will need to get a current version of ld.so.
Version 1.7.14 or newer will do.

When you've made the required updates, re-run this script
before continuing with the installation

glib2.3 is available only in Xfree86 4.3, which is the version I am trying
to remove
