The desktop computer has two ethernet cards: eth0 and eth1. The desktop 
computer connects directly to the DSL modem using eth0. eth1 connects to 
a 4-port hub. The laptop is connected to the hub. A network printer is 
also connected to the hub. I have no problem printing and I can connect 
from the laptop to the desktop (and vice versa) using ssh.
