Is a different version of Redhat 2.1AS required for AMD install?

Hi All

I thought that the x86 discs for Redhat 2.1AS install,
should install on both Intel and AMD processors and
that no kernel compilation is required for one or the
other as a post-install step.

There shouldn't be any difference in the OS when
installed with the same Redhat 2.1AS x86 discs on
Intel or AMD.

Can someone correct me if I am wrong?
