Congratulations on the FTP server. Make sure you lock down the anonymous FTP user and secure it properly. iptables is a wonderful piece of software. It can make your system quite secure. You still must make sure you run recent versions of any software which will be exposed to the internet or can be "gotten to" via an exposure (latest versions of ftpd, etc.). > i wanted to know what would be a good course of study plan for linux + > exam.Any good books anybody has read for the exam or any other stuff > anybody knows about . Er, which exam? A general Linux exam or the Red Hat certification? As far as a general book, "Learning Red Hat Linux" or "Linux in a Nutshell" (both from O'Reilly) are good. So's "Linux Unleashed" from SAMS. O'Reilly probably has the more definitive series of books. Get their catalog or hit their Linux-specific website, "http://linux.oreilly.com". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens vitalstream com - - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - The moving cursor writes, and having written, blinks on. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Redhat-install-list mailing list Redhat-install-list redhat com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-install-list To Unsubscribe Go To ABOVE URL or send a message to: redhat-install-list-request redhat com Subject: unsubscribe
