I agree and I'll be burning a couple of backup CD's
this weekend, in between studying for my Anatomy and
Physiology exam and finishing up my website.  I also
have all my applications and pictures stored on my
Linux machine.  I need to back them up too.

You're right there too.  I lost some important work
about a year ago when the hard drive on my brand new
Dell crashed, it hurt.  And XP is optimized for
re-installation.  XP doesn't quite crash all the time
but occasionally it doesn't do what's expected, which
is fixed with a reinstall.  So this is the equation I
use:
multi-media (XP)= play and crash;-}  
No multi-media (Linux) = no play and no crash:-|
