4 GB Limit with ftp?

Currently, I'm using Red Hat 9. I tried downloading the dvd version of 
Fedora Core 2 but I ran into the 4 GB limit with Mozilla 1.5. (I had 
installed 1.6 but had to re-install 1.5 because 1.6 kept crashing or 
locking up.) I haven't been able to find software that I know will work 
and handle files larger than 4 GB. Does anyone have a suggestion for 
software?
