RPM install file conflict

Title: RPM install file conflict

I'm now trying to install a display adapter driver RPM, unsuccessfully:

rpm -Uvh xgi_v3_rh9_xf430_1.0.2_i386.rpm
Preparing.... ######################### [100%]
file /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/trident_drv.o from install of xgi_v3_rh9-1.0-2 conflicts with file from package xorg-x11-6.8.1-23.EL

What to do?
I tried renaming the old trident_drv.o file to old_trident_drv.old, but I get the same error.
I tried rpm -ivh..... Same error.
