Help!

  thankx for the suggestion, i have upgraded my system to Suse 10.0, can you or anyone else guide me if i can get some help in terms of programming errors relating to socket programing using kdeveloper 3.2

Fine. Go to the directory where it was downloaded and enter these
commands:

tar xvj kdevelop-3.2.2.tar.bz2

That will extract the files that make up the system. You then have to
build it. Go to the directory created by the tar command and look for
files named README or INSTALL. Examine those files for instructions.
In general, they'll be something like:

./configure --basedir=/usr
make
make install

During the configure step, you may find that you need to upgrade other
things on your system before kdevelop can be updated. Red Hat 9 is
quite ancient. It's been dead for almost three years. You really
should think about upgrading to at least Fedora Core 4.
