Hmmm. That's odd. Does "free" show any free memory?
You did set up a swap partition, right? Is it being used? "swapon -s"
will show you. If you're running a GUI, 700MB may be a bit tight and
if you don't have swap, you could be running out of RAM. Java does
suck up a lot of RAM at times.
