LCD Display resolution problem on RHEL5

Just now I installed rhel5 on c2d which has lcd screen. LG company.
After installation I found that it supports 800x600 and not higher resolution 1024x768 etc....
It also shows that the current monitor is CRT and not LCD..The installation CD which I got with this LG monitor do not have llinux drviers.
what should I do.
