Uprade 5.2 problem

All the upgrade was fin, but when I want to recompile the kernel I can't
mount the root fs.
This what I did:
make xconfig
make dep
make clean
make modules
make bzdisk

And when I try with this image on the disk this is what it appears:

Kernel panic:VFS : Unable to mount root fs on 08:01

Hope some one can help me....Thanks in advance...
