You didn't mention how your drive is partitioned.. I'm assuming the
problem is that LILO can't find the kernel at boot.. and you have
both Windoz and Linux partitions..
You might try putting the kernel within the first 1 Meg space on
/dev/hda1 and point lilo at where to find the kernel. The kernel
contains a pointer for the root drive (compiled as ROOT_DEV) and
where to put the boot stuff (INSTALL_PATH). Beware of optimizations
that might move any of the files in the /boot directory, however.
In fact I built a subdirectory as C:/boot and created a symlink to
it in my Linux partition and used it while the Windoz drive was
mounted while running /sbin/lilo.
