What version of RH?

If it's 5.1, download the updated 5.1 boot disk image and
use rawrite.exe to put it on a floppy.
Also download the other updated floppy images if you
ever use them (rescue, sup, etc.).

If you have 5.2, you don't need to update the boot diskette.

A clean start needs you to choose "Install" not "Upgrade",
and you must let it format all the partitions.   For now, stick
with just two or three Linux partitions:
/   swap and maybe /home.
Let us know how that goes, one more time.

(If you already have a partition with your own personal files
in it, you might not want to format it.)
