Dear folks,
I have a big problem when I install or upgrade Linux clients to 5.2
using DHCP. There is no default gateway. No problem for Windows or DOS
clients. There was no problem with 5.1 Red Hat clients. The DHCP server
is a Linux machine. I have worked around this so far by adding a route
add -net 0.0.0.0 gw gateway eth0 line to rc.local, but this is a
horrible kludge. If you have experienced this, please let me know that
I am not alone. If you have any idea what is happening, please write to
my email addresses as well as to the list. We have many machines, and
this is embarrassingly bad, and a maintenance problem for our
department.
