changing menus

I'm a bit of a newbie here (though I have limited prior Unix experience) so
I apoligize if this is dumb.

I wish to change the menus provided by the default windows manager (some
flavor of fvwm2) in RH5.2.  I have read the man pages for wmconfig,
AnotherLevel, fvwm2, Fvwm2M4, etc, and I still haven't quite gotten it.  Can
anyone tell me:

1) The output of wmconfig should apparently be placed in a .*rc file in my
home directory.  Can anyone tell me what the complete name of this rc file
should be?  

2) In what system directory does the window manager look for the default
menu configuration files?

3) I assume these menu configuration files were generated by .wmconfig.
What directory did wmconfig use to generate these files?
