4windows Printer workaround??

Does anybody know if there's a 'workaround' to make a Okidata 4W print on
Linux?

It's a nice printer but, so far I can't make it print on Linux, although the manual 
says that it's similar to HPIId series(which work on Linux).

Help Please!!!
