Anyone familiar with the audio format of Vgetty?

This is somewhat premature as I haven't gotten Vgetty working yet. I was
wondering, if anyone knew what format Vgetty saved voice messages in and if
it was possible to convert these files to a more popular format like *.wav
or *.snd. The main gist of what I would like to do is this:
After Vgetty would recieve a new voice mail message, my system would wait
for a minute or so, then do the following:
1. Copy the new message file and then convert it to *.wav or *.snd.
2. Another process would then convert the *.wav or *.snd file to *.ra
(preferrably) or *.mp3
3. The system would then dial out to my ISP and then Mail the *.ra or *.mp3
files as attachments or FTP them as well as an updated index.html that
reflects the new messages to my home page.
The main assumptions I am making here are:
1. The Vgetty format can be converted to *.wav or *.snd
2. There is a command line utility for converting to *.ra (I know there is
one for *.mp3)
Any suggestions?
Thanks
