new hard drive

Hi,

I just bought a new ultrdma harddrive seagate 3.2 G and a promise pci card
so I can use the hard drive in the ulta DMA mode.
Both are recognized on the install the hard drive as hde.
Evcerything goes great till i try to load lilo and it says it cannot do it,
I have a 120 M partiotion at the end of the drive for swap and the rest is
root.

I use system commander to boot into the multiple OS that I ahve.

I have never had this problem with redhat before.

Any Idea's
