Sorry, but I haven't been following this thread until now... I was able to
burn a RedHat 5.1 BOOTABLE CD-ROM under Windows NT using Goldenhawk CDRWIN.
I created a iso9660 file on my Linux machine and transferred everything over
the network using SAMBA to my WINNT machine with the CD-R in it. then I
just pointed CDRWIN to the iso9660 file and proceeded to burn... Worked
beautifully. It seems the important stuff needs to be done on the *nix side
before creating the iso9660 image:
1. Make sure all the perms are correct on files and directories.
2. Make sure your 'hdlist' file is updated if you added RPM updates.
3. Make sure your RPM directory doesn't have any subdirectories, non-RPM or
corrupt RPM files in it before updating your 'hdlist' with 'genhdlist'.
Once these conditions are satisfied, create and test your iso9660 image,
then you can move it to any platform that will burn from an iso image.
My $.02 worth,
George Lenzer
