When I run Minicom to dial my ISP the lag is
incredible. I'm not talking about just once I connect to my ISP, but from
startup to when I close it. It takes about 15 seconds for whatever I type
to appear on the screen. This makes entering in my username and password
impossible because the server times out before the info is printed. If
anyone could tell me where to get the most recent version of minicom or perhaps
a possible solution to the problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Or if
anyone knows of another program that I could dial in with that would help
also.
