Quick question (I think)

I have Redhat Linux 5.1 with XWindows installed but when I installed KDE and
went to execute it the XWindows started not KDE how would I fix this? Can I
run them both? is there something I could type instead of "startx"? or what
do I need to do to replace KDE w/Xwindows?
