Thanks Gordon, but I have turned off all the Power Management and Hardware
Monitoring stuff on this ASUS P2L97.

My latest test was to install Win95 and the system did not power down
over two days.

So, I'm re-installing Red Hat 5.1 and my search for the problem
continues ... if anyone else has any ideas ...
