I would:
1) Try different RAM (just because the BIOS finds it, doesn't mean it's
any good).
2) Go back to 32MB so you can:
3) Compile the latest kernel (2.0.36-pre8 as of yesterday)
go to http://roadrunner.swansea.uk.linux.org/alan.shtml to get the patch
for 2.0.35
4) Try the new kernel with the 96MB of RAM.
5) If it still doesn't work, email the linux kernel mailing list.
