i've got an RH 5.1, HP SureStore, diff. capacity...
had the same problem.
someone a couple of years back suggested specifying tape capacity in
blocks explicitly instead of relying on the densityXlength calculation
by dump. so, my dump command looks something like this (for a 120m tape,
assuming that its default capacity, i.e. uncompressed, is 4 gig):
dump 0uBf 4000000 /dev/nst0 FILESYSTEM
