RPM 9 Error

Hi,
I'm running Ver 4.2 RH after downloading the RPM's for Netscape 4.06 and
trying to open them I got the Data type 9 error. A little research and I
concluded that I needed to update my RPM program to the latest version.
Off to ftp.redhat/upgrades for rpm-2.5.3-4.2.src.rpm.

I used the existing RPM tp install the upgrade. tried again to install
Netscape, Same error message. Is there any other operation I needed to
do, other than rebooting, or have I missed the boat here and need to go
another route.
