How do you set up for a Syquest sq555 (44 MBytes) ?

Hi,
 I used to run a syquest sq555 (44Mbyte) via a Seagate ST01/02 scssi on
a win95 machine. Worked fine under DOS/Windows, but I cannot get it to
run under Linux (DOS/WIN95 now does not exist on this machine).  Has
anyone else been successful with this combination?  I do not want to
reload win95 just so I can access some old files!
