Ramon,
Thanks to you and the others for your input. My research has pointed me to
the Symphony line of Proxim, Inc. (www.proxim.com/symphony). It seems
to be the most affordable wireless technology for linux. For those of you
interested, shopper.com has the ISA Card at $123 and the PCMCIA Card at
$163. The wireless ethernet bridge list price is $399 (you will not need
this if you will just do point-to-point).
