There's a utility called Explore2fs out there.  I can't remember where but
an Altavista search should turn it up.  It is beta software.  BTW, when I
was learning Linux I valued the fact that I couldn't get at my Linux stuff
from Windows.  a) It stopped me (or Windows) from doing any damage while
in Windows and b) it forced me to learn.

This is not possible on the one machine (you can't run Linux in a window
like you can DOS) but possible if you have a Windows
and Linux machine networked.  You can then telnet to the Linux machine and
run the command line for that machine in a window.

As above, possible with two machines.  You can go the MIX route, run
an X server on your windows machine, telnet into the Linux machine and
point X apps to the display on the Windows machine.  Or you can run VNC (a
virtual X server) on the Linux machine and use the VNC viewer program to
see (and control) this from Windows.
