Hello all --
I have a Sony Vaio PVC-E302DS - Linux installs from the CDROM/DVD but
once I boot it won't recognize the device. Obviously, DVD is not supported but
the device is ATAPI and should be recognized as a regular CDROM. The syslog
reports the error as "ATAPI device 17: unknown device" (preceded by a bunch of
control characters - I assume is coming from the attempted device negotiation).
Any forced or friendly fix I can apply to this? Or should I begin the
process of device hacking for this one?
Thanks in advance.
