Hi,
I slowing grinding down my liast of security things-to-do list. I am
now trying to establish
an auto install of updated rpms. The problem is too many options. ha ha
ha :-)
Of the following: which are any of you using, and whacha think about
'em?
I have found:
autorpm 1.7.1-2
Description :
AutoRPM is a program that can do any combination of the following:
mirror RPMs
from an FTP site, keep installed RPMs consistent with an FTP
site or local
directory, and keep installed RPMs in a cluster or network of
systems consis-
tent. It is highly flexible and even contains a very nice,
menu-driven
Interactive-Install mode.
autoupdate-2.3-2
Description :
This script is designed to be run every night by a server machine.
It will look for new updates and install them if necessary. It will
also let any number of client machines apply the same upgrades if
necessary. This version actually works!
rpm-updates-1.0-1
Description :
A perl script to automate updating of rpm's. Intelligent enough to
only
update rpm's already installed, rather than dumping all updates on
the
system.
thanks in advance :-)
