Hi All,

this is the time for foot in mouth remedy...

I decided to go through everything everyone was kind enough to suggest...

My sendmail.cf file had an incorrect domain name and an exit statement in the
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail script.

As a result sendmail was not starting...

I corrected these problems and it worked fine.

I apologise for not finding this out sooner, and I thank all of you for your
kind help yet again.

I hope someday that I can be as helpful on this list as others are...
