Upgrading from 5.2 to 6 over I-NET

 Q1:Is it true that a UPGRADE over a network from rhl 5.2 to 6.0 will
wipe out ALLLLL of 5.2's files, and after the upgrade
would appear the same as if you formated the drive and did a INSTALL ?
If not, is there a way to clean up after
the UPGRADE. This question stems from years of abuse as a M$-windows
lUSER, installing and upgrading and having files left
behind that are no longer needed.

Q2: I have heard that gnome 1.0 that comes with rh6.0 looks great, but
still has bugs and does core dumps. Just curious as to how bad this
problem is, and would you put this on a production server machine? Is
this gnome 1.0 in beta? If doing core dumps. It should be.
