I didn't count, but the postings re: "win95" were way to plentiful.
I would like to suggest a way to minimize postings like this.
In the dark ages of 2400 baud modems and computer bulletin boards (BBS) I
was moderating an echo-mail (a list, really) and we were facing exactly the
same problems. OT postings turning into flames and refusing to die. What
we came up with was rather simple, a periodic posting to the list stating
it's purpose, defining what's OT and warning that users not adhering to the
simple rules would be removed from the list. Once every two weeks maybe?
The above did not CURE the problem, but it reduced incidents to an
acceptable minimum...
