A couple of years ago, when I was using slack, I upgraded (read:
replaced) my bash 1.something with bash 2.00. This, unfortunately,
broke my init-scripts. I didn't figure that out the first time,
actually. I reinstalled, ran for a week or so and did it again. That
time I figured it out :) I don't know where bash 2 is at now, but it
may not be 100% ready yet (despite it's version number).
