Webmail...

I'm checking out a couple of webmail interfaces made with perl and was
wondering if anyone had any comments on limitations or performance issues I
may have with Perl. I'd like for the solution to be able to handle 100,000
plus users but am worried about scalability and performance. What is the
best performing CGI Platform for LINUX? The only experience I've had with
Perl is on NT and I know it could get rather slow...
