RE: Allowing non-root user to su to another w/o password

Title: RE: Allowing non-root user to su to another w/o password

Chuck,

Do you mean you want a non-root user to execute root priviledge script/program without typeing the password?

I used the sudo package to give my user account the ability to do "shutdown -r now" and "shutdown -h now" without entering a password. It was simple, just edit the sudo config file /etc.  I don't know think redhat comes with sudo but SuSE has an rpm.

Hope this helps
scott

I want to to permit two non-root accounts to "su -" to another
user w/o requiring a password. (I only want these two accounts
to be able to do this, all others need the password)

Is this possible in Linux?

-Thanks CC
