I'm happy so far with the Seagate ST28000-NC. It's SCSI with hardware
compression and backs up my ~2GB in 35 minutes. I think you can get faster
but this is fast enough for me. The drive wasn't cheap and the cartridges
aren't either. But I think SCSI is worth it and the DAT drives were even
more pricey. I really like SCSI but if my machine didn't already have a
SCSI system, I might go with an IDE or parallel port solution.
