How do you remove linux 5.2 from a computer. I tried by using disk druid to delete the partitions but I was left with lilo and on the second boot up all I was left with was LI and I could not get any further. I have reinstalled linux for now but I am tearing my hair out cause none of my books can help.

I think you just want the master boot sector back? I believe you get a DOS boot disk (let's assume the computer boots to A: first) with fdisk.exe, boot, and type 'fdisk /mbr'. This will destroy LILO. If you don't have DOS handy, I'm not sure what you can do but I suppose it is OS-specific.

In case you have a deeper problom, the general uninstall process is: (1) in Linux, remove any Linux partitions (I just run the RH install again) (2) use fdisk.exe to remove LILO, (3) use some other OS's partitioning software to create a different partition, (4) install the inferio^H^H^H^H other OS.
