X lockup

Hi all,

After typing startx, my linux box locked up. I've hit Ctrl-Alt-F2,
Ctrl-Alt-F3, Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, and Ctrl-Alt-Del to no avail. I don't have
telnet enabled so that I can try to kill the process remotely. Any
suggestions?
