Wow! I'm impressed. It works great. I don't understand how it works
or why it's like that, but it works. That's exactly what I was looking
for. Now, would you mind enlightening me a little on what's going on
behind the scenes? You see, if I simply telnet into a linux box from
another linux box, I must first set my DISPLAY variable and run xhost to
be able to run x progs. How does ssh do it?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "flip X displays", but this is
automagically handled for you with ssh. If you ssh to a machine, test it
by running xclock or something. It should just work!
