Aliases ??? They are defenetely NOT aliases. eth0 - ethx are real devices.
In my system, eth0, eth1 and eth2 are three real devices.
Aliases are eth0:1, eth0:2, etc, etc.
The reason for the problems is that the Linux kernel normally stop searching
after it find a device. Use append in lilo to add addition ethernet cards.

Read the manual, and edit the config's by hand. Linuxconf is IMHO a really
bad program.
