Subject: Help with eth1 PLEASE
I have a seond NIC in my intel machine and have tried to get Linux 5.2 to
recognize it. I have tried a couple of different ways. I typed in linux
ether=10,0x6800,eth1 at the lilo: prompt. I have tried to add it with the
daemon thingy in x window. When I tried that I seemed to get farther along
and could actually activate the card, but only after I chose 3C509 from the
drop down list. The card is actually a Realtek 8029. It did not show up on
the list. Where do I stand? Do I need to find a driver file somewhere or
what? If so, once I get it what do I do with it. As you can tell I am
totally unfamiliar with Linux.
Anyone that can help with any information or guidance please do so. I am
about to give up.
TIA,
Bill
