Errr.... thanks for the tip, but surely, that isn't The Linux Way?
I've been looking at the Bootprompt-HOWTO, and it mentions that you can boot
to an NFS root system -- I can mount the server's CD ROM on the notebook
with NFS (and MC - comes with a neato network link feature, much simpler to
use than NFS).
Basically, I'd need to fire up PCMCIA card services to get the NIC working
at boot-up, and then get the root file system from the NFS mounted CD-ROM.
Not exactly a QAD solution... has anyone done that? Maybe by adding the NFS
root file system to lilo.conf?
