Backup & Recovery

Hello,

I have a linux pc and a Hewlett Packard K220 on the same lan,

the K220 has a tape drive on it which is used for backup to DDS
tapes.

Is it possible to backup my linux pc via. the LAN onto the tape drive?

Any ideas are welcome.
