Try building kernel 2.2.1.  The parport code seems to work automatically
all by itself.  I have a parallel Zip drive chained to a parallel SparQ
drive chained to my LaserJet, and a) all modules work fine installed at
the same time, b) copying directly between the two external drives works
like a charm, and c) printing is unaffected.  It just all works now.

Nedless to say, I'm quite impressed.
