Hi,
Just received a system with RedHat5.2 preloaded. It comes
with an Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 network card (as stated
on the shipping list).
After worked on the system for 3 hours, I cannot ping its IP
address (ping localhost is OK). I called the company who
shipped the system, and was told that they did not tested
the network card.
I went to the hardware compatible list on www.redhat.com,
and found out that "Intel EtherExpress Pro/10 PCI" is under
the Incompatible Ethernet Adapters list.
Right now, I am not sure if my "Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100"
card is the same as this "Intel EtherExpress Pro/10 PCI"
(i.e., not supported under RedHat5.2)?
Can some body on the list comment on that? I Sure appreciated.
Philip
