Re: StarOffice Hanging

Hmmm, I've tried just about everything I can think of but nothing has worked.
I installed the whole mess in my user directory. That includes SO and the JDK
directories so permissions shouldn't be a problem. I've even blown everything
away and re-installed several times. I've put in both the full JDK and JRE
installs to see if that made a difference.

I can lock it everytime if I click on the printer setup icon. The window will
open but SO locks when I close the window. I sent myself a message ok but SO
locked immediately after it was sent. When I tried sending messages after
restarting it worked fine for a couple of times and then locked.

On the other hand, I have been able to open and close all the applications
without a single hang.

There are no errors or warnings at all when it freezes.

This is on a clean redhat 5.2 install (I blew it up trying to get the 2.2.1
kernel working and just did a new install). I put on the kde files but nothing
else out of the ordinary.

I used to have SO 4.0 working without problems...go figger???? This isn't very
confidence building. I can't afford to spend time using SO only to have it
lock up randomly.
